When observing magazine covers, I sometimes imagine posters that must quickly communicate a message. Sometimes I imagine packaging that must sell a product. They pack magazines, have sales appeal and are still journalism: they must stick to real facts. Each cover tells a different story. Whenever I start to design one, I always keep in mind that in the end, they are merely rectangles with a logo on the top. This is my starting point and therefore everything becomes easier.
