We're creating an app for nurses to input data, ensuring quality, real-time alerts, and immediate safety compliance during patient procedures. A desktop app will also be provided for real-time reports and planning of patient procedures

Problems:
1. There are 400,000 recorded deaths worldwide due to errors in the operating room. The number one reason is incorrect patient or procedure. This means that the medical staff doesn't verify the patient's identity before starting surgery. Our app will incorporate multiple alert checks to prevent such errors. We'll discuss this in the workflow below
2. Medication Errors (Anesthetist): We'll input data from the connected electronic medical records via API and build a real-time dashboard for each patient
3. Foreign Objects Left in Patients (Surgeon): Our app will send alerts to the nurse in the operating room to ensure all counts have been made, preventing any objects from being left inside the patient

Solutions:
- Maintaining Quality and Safety

- Annually, complications lead to 1 million fatalities globally (as per WHO)
- Three significant preventable errors:
- Misidentification of patient or procedure (major issue concerning consent)
- Incorrect dosage
