Newspaper supplement, The Guardian. A six-part series of supplements which, once laid together, created a beautiful British landscape.

'The Guardian Guide to...'
Guitars. I was lucky to be at The Guardian and work first-hand on these A5 monthly guides when they were launched. This particular issue was the first time we printed a supplement white text on black - a risky and technically challenging task on a national press back in the day!
The Guardian guide to... series won Supplement of the Year (British Press Awards 2007).

Directory A5 series
I designed and pitched this directory to The Guardian's creative director. He said yes! This went on to be a successful series of A5 guides and secured regular sponsorship.

Booklet series: Greek Myths
A six-part series of booklets inserted into The Guardian.
As there was no scope to print in colour (inside), and these booklets would also be going on sale, they needed to be special. I commissioned John Spencer (illustrator) to create woodcut depictions of the Greek myths. Not only did they work beautifully with the subject, they also created an elegance and collection of mini pieces of art, worthy of collecting.
