Started in February 2024, "Goryanka" (meaning "mountain woman") evolved through three stages: pattern creation and sewing, 3D modeling, and an AI-powered photoshoot in Flux. Initially inspired by 90s children's flannel dresses, the design took a 180° turn, incorporating elements reminiscent of traditional Chechen dresses. Handmade braid ties from leftover fabric symbolize the connection between past and present. Part of my Modestlab project, "Goryanka" embraces creative freedom within the framework of modest fashion. Unlike commercial projects with strict deadlines, this work allowed me to explore new inspirations without constraints, leading to unexpected and meaningful results.
