Ssekabira Eric Kyomya is a Ugandan playwright and scriptwriter whose skills are majored in writing for TV, Radio, Film and Theatre. He is as well a YouTuber, under a brand Eric Kyomya *
Eric is passionate about writing and he spends most of his time trying out new concepts and developing them.
He owns a bachelors degree in drama and film, a graduate of Makerere University, from the School of Performing Arts and Film (PAF), where he graduated in 2017.
While at Makerere, he majored in Script Writing and Concepts development, Cinematography, Advanced Camera work and Digital Editing and Directing for Film. And in all these, he came up with practical projects that helped in be among the best performers of his year.
Eric Kyomya has sofar worked with Wrist House, Kricstone Concepts, Lewi Media, UCF Church, Akamooli Studios, NTV Uganda and Prime Time Media.
He participated in the BBC world service Radio Play competitions, in 2018 and got more skills through email sharing with the British Council.
Eric Kyomya is as well a musician, who creates worship gospel songs and has one album that he released in 2019 dubbed Wa Kisa.
In his style of writing, he creates emotional situations with sympathetible characters that can live in ones imagery for years.
He is a realist, a researcher, a writer that doesn't rush his stories but a perfectionist.
He has written scripts like Crime Track (Produced film on market in Uganda), The Injections, Coffee Husks, Bagayans Bagaza (Radio drama) The First Eleven (To be produced by Wrist House 2021), Nkwanzi and The Lantern Lamp, The Agreement (Runner in the Best Feature Film, UCC Film Festival 2018), The Reversal (Theatre play, published) and working on many more as of now.
He is passionate when it comes to writing and developing concepts.
