ABOUT

This is a personal project about a hypothetical response from Nike to the challenges of the future and where the brand is headed. There is nothing better to find out where we are going to than to look back and deeply understand what our origins are and what we have actually achieved.

My vision is reflected in a tribute to their origins, when design student Carolyn Davidson was commissioned because they wanted to make sneakers. Its design was based on the wings of the Greek goddess Nike. For that reason she collected 35 dollars in 1972 although 11 years later she received a ring of gold in the form of Swoosh with a small diamond and a certificate of shares of the company.

My illustration is clearly inspired by Gustav Klimt where I show the goddess Nike holding the crown of triumph. I know she has a few extra pounds for the current beauty canons but it is a clear nod to the fight for anorexia and an approach to a more real figure.
