We are faced with a society in which 1 in 3 people will get dementia. The government wanted us to ready society to deal with this, to ensure that those with dementia can remain part of their communities for longer.

Dementia is seen to strip people away until they’re “not really there anymore”. We made dementia real and human by getting people who live with dementia to show the people “one removed” from those with the disease how their friendship can help make a difference.
