This Freelance Project was to create a Collection of 14 repeat pattern designs for a range of kimonos, kaftans and T-shirt’s. This was a fast-paced design project, where I worked with the Brand Manager to do research such as contributing to mood boards, collating inspiration and creating colour palettes for the Collection. After the initial research I was given a design brief which I took direction from and independently created all of the design work. Communicating throughout this design period with the Brand Manager was important to efficiently move forward, it was important that I was a well organised designer. This experience gave me the chance to work with industry professionals, which showed my ability to work well to someone else’s project brief. My digital drawing and photo editing skills were an advantage to me during this project, as I have a good knowledge of Photoshop and ProCreate, which has continued to develop over the last 6 years.
