This was a brief set by The Collaborators to create new packaging and a logo for the company New Leaf & Co (previously known as Teatonics). The company specialises in unique herbal teas inspired by the culture and flavours of the local drinks they discovered on a trip to South America. Their aim is to encourage people in the UK to try new and exciting flavours of tea instead of keeping to the same traditional one. Working with a fellow student for this project, we designed packaging for two variants of the tea New Leaf & Co offer, Mate Zing and Mate Spice. We used the idea of a tea ring as the main design element, taking the colours from the flavours to differentiate between the two varieties. This, along with the handwritten and rough style typefaces, help to create a more handcrafted design.
