My name is Emma Moverlay-Brown and I am a professional designer currently working in a point of sale environment. I received information on your Art Director/Design Manager job role and would like to apply for the position.
I gained a passion for design management dating back to my final year at university when I became Degree Show Committee Chair where I organised a team to work together on various projects, prioritised workloads to meet deadlines and was involved in controlling activities to meet a set budget. I am currently gaining experience in the design field with additional skills in managing client projects but would like to pursue a career in design management.
To the role I would bring my knowledge gained through designing for high-end retail clients, my organisational skills and enthusiasm. Key skills that I have developed as a designer are creating realistic 3D conceptual renders using CAD, producing working drawings for prototypes, product design development, engineering drawings for manufacture and creating and editing graphics for POS items. I have also gained project manager skills by running design projects from conception through to production, ensuring time constraints of projects are met, out sourcing project areas with sub contractors, sourcing and ordering materials for projects and production runs.
Through my experience I can show my design, time management and organisational skills, ability to successfully be involved in numerous projects and passion for my work. I am punctual, hard working, show initiative and take great care on quality and detail in all areas of my life.
