About me

Since graduating in graphic design from Nottingham Trent University in 2000 I have worked continuously in that field. I have acquired design and typographical skills that have been honed through a variety of positions during my career. I am creative and enthusiastic under the pressure of strict deadlines and thrive in a busy working environment.

I have strong project management skills and I liaise and present confidently with suppliers and clients. In my current role I was appointed to spearhead creative projects, strengthen the company's digital capability and assist in managing the busy marketing department. I provide expertise and a creative input from the inception stage of design work through to it's final production.

As well as working on traditional forms of media I also head-up the digital arm of the department; this involves designing all the bespoke HTML email broadcasts, set broadcast templates for the designers to follow, maintain and push the company websites forward. I also work on the social media platforms and was instrumental in the set-up of these.

Since working in my current role I have set-up an internal training programme. I train various members of the marketing department and hold a trainning session once a month. The aim is to teach new skills, techniques and to encourage development and ideas.

My work includes campaign concepts, advertising, POS, brochures, packaging, ID and branding, web design and email marketing.

Skills

I have excellent knowledge of InDesign, QuarkXPress, Photoshop and Illustrator., I currently build websites using Dreamweaver, HTML and CSS., I build HTML e-shots and work in adestra (an advanced email marketing platform) to prepare them ready for mailing., I can also create online banners using flash, or photoshop for simple animations.
