Having made guests smile with great food and drink experiences for the last 50 years , Rick Stein’s Seafood Restaurant has marked five decades of coastal culinary excellence, celebrating their anniversary in style with a number of special events across 2025.

THE CHALLENGE:
To celebrate the 50th anniversary of Rick Stein’s iconic Seafood Restaurant in Padstow, I was tasked with designing a commemorative event menu that would serve both as a functional piece and a keepsake for guests. The design needed to reflect the restaurant’s heritage, premium quality, and the significance of the occasion.

THE CONCEPT:
The final menu features an elegant design with a striking illustration of a lobster, hand-drawn by Kate Stein, serving as the central visual element. Gold foiling was applied to enhance its premium feel, creating a memento worthy of framing. The ‘Celebrating 50 Years’ roundel logo, designed to complement the restaurant’s refined aesthetic, was applied across the menu and extended to Rick Stein’s website and wider marketing communications, unifying the anniversary campaign with a sophisticated and celebratory tone.
