About me
I am a specialist Printed Textile Designer with skills in both hand techniques and digital processes. I am also familiar with producing a professional level of design boards including mood, client, colour and product. I am passionate about drawing and mark making and hand rendering designs with stitch and other forms of embellishment.
Skills
Computer Skills, I am confidently able to use computer software such as Word and Photoshop. I am also able to effectively use tools within Illustrator and Indesign., Screen Printing, I can stretch, coat and expose a variety of sizes of screens confidently and successfully then print with them once ready. I am also able to mix my own pigments, dyes and pastes to be used for printing., Heat Press, I can effectively and confidently use the heat press. I can mix heat reactive dyes to the correct colour. I can also successfully add foil and flock to samples using the press., Dying, I can mix reactive and non-reactive dyes to a specified colour and I am then able to use them to dye large quantities of fabric.

Tatty Devine - July 2012 - Studio Assistant (Internship), An admin related placement. Organising orders and products into correct categories, to make sure they where delivered professional on promptly., Ekta Kaul - June 2012 - Design Assistant (Internship), I helped prepare and set up for the tradeshow ‘Pulse’ in Earls Court London. This has allowed me to think of creative ways to present work and see how others designers and design companies can advertise themselves well within a small space., Carole Waller - April 2011 - Design Assistant (Internship), I got the opportunity to be involved within helping Carole Waller’s Fenwick’s collection. I got the opportunity to mix up the procion dyes used for creating the prints on the samples. The opportunity also arose to design a page in a leaflet that she now uses to promote her summer school.
