About me
To whom it may concern,
My sense of humor and creativity help me stand apart from others, and my ability to multitask and find innovative solutions to complex problems are what make me a successful Graphic Designer and Illustrator. I am an independent young designer who assembles her own furniture and gets her work done on time. When I close my eyes at night I dream about Adobe Illustrator, and when I wake up I dutifully say good morning to the rest of my design programs. I love receiving challenges that force me to learn new nuances and hidden corners of design programs. Outside of Graphic Design I study Spanish language, fine art, and film. I have an insatiable curiosity for foreign cultures and new art forms. I am a Libra with brown eyes who is interested in gaining experience anywhere where creative minds challenge my perspective and dare me to raise my standards. Nothing brings me greater joy than being able to prove my worth through the ingenuity of my work.
I spent my time at my alma mater designing and illustrating for several organizations and publications on campus, striving to grab leadership roles whenever people were crazy enough to give them to me. As the sole Graphic Designer for the College of Human Sciences at Iowa State University, I work with staff from different disciplines to produce print and online publications. I have experience in many publication formats and understand the importance of meeting deadlines. My prized role is as the Creative Director of Ethos Magazine, a student-run magazine at the university. I understand that creativity goes a long way and that style decisions are no walk-in-the-park. I enjoy working with all staffs at the magazine to come to the most creative visual solution for the layout of each article.
