Airbnb strives to give travelers an authentic experience of the places they visit by immersing them in local neighbourhoods far away from popular tourist attractions. It’s in these local neighbourhoods, that travelers discover a different city, one that’s beyond travel guides and filled with local culture. By offering travelers a way to live just like the locals do, Airbnb helps them feel like they can belong anywhere.
To tell the story about the local and magical side of Paris, we created a zoetrope, as it’s the earliest devices used for animation. This technique helped us give the journey an authentic and hand made feel to it, just as Airbnb offers travelers an authentic travel experience.
