ABOUT

This was my final university project and the central idea was a man traveling the world visiting places that his dead wife had wished to visit with him and scattering her ashes in a place of her choosing as a dying wish. Although a sad story, I wanted it to be a celebration of their life, a voyage of discovery, and an adventure for the character. I created the concept, original story and the images and the work enabled me to explore different cultures and perspectives. I wanted the journey and images to be diverse so included places from Italy to Tibet and the journey was taken by foot, car and boat. Due to time constraints I was only able to create 12 images revolving around Italy, Greece, Jordan, The Red Sea, The Munroe islands in India, and Nepal and Tibet. This was my greatest challenge to date and having to draw 6 different biomes was challenging and took a lot of persistence. However, I feel that the final result is something diverse, detailed and genuinely interesting. I’ve created prints which I’ve made available for sale on Etsy.
