ABOUT

The brief:
To create a video that clearly brought out the key themes of Save the Children's Stop the War on Children campaign, while also acting as a piece of emotive and stimulating storytelling in its own right. The video needed to be a strong asset as part of the charity's centenary comms strategy.

The approach:
I read up extensively on the SWOC campaign, its background, finer points and the broad aims. I worked with the client to get the right balance of information and emotion and collaborated closely with Article Ten’s video team to select the right art direction and footage. I persuaded the team involved for us to not shy away from the facts, not in a brutal or shocking way, but to harness simple and effective realism.

The result:
A powerful video that has been used as an asset in Save the Children teams across the world to help explain but also inspire people to back its fight to stop the war on children.
