“Black absorbs the light - red interrupts the darkness.”

Inspired by the fascinating, almost magical process of traditional analogue black and white photography, where images slowly emerge in total darkness in the glow of red light. Within the photographic darkroom light and shadow can be manipulated the through time of exposure, allowing details to surface, contrasts to deepen and forms to take on an intensified sense of drama. The image remains hidden until the developing process reveals what was captured through the lens.
