The legendary story of Atlantis continues to fascinate since because it remains a mystery. Did an advanced civilisation once exist beyond the boundaries of recorded history? Were the Atlanteans highly evolved beings, perhaps a superhuman civilisation who, in their purest origin, were divine entities or gods, before their intermingling with humanity transformed them into power-obsessed beings - ultimately leading to the downfall of their empire? More than 10,000 books are said to have explored the subject, testament to the enduring power of this elusive myth.

Inspired by the legendary tale of the sunken empire as well as Alexander McQueen’s last runway show collection Plato’s Atlantis (SS 2010), this series brings together a collection of original illustrations conceived as an immersive visual interpretation of the myth.
Fearless superhuman warrioresses emerge in luminous shades of blue, flawless, alert and poised for attack. Graceful goddesses intertwine, gliding effortlessly through dreamlike seasapes of pastel and azure. Towering galactic heroines and amphibious hybrids appear draped in ultraviolet and turquoise robes, adorned with seashells, pearls and crystalline formations slide majestically through cobalt-blue and vulcano red deep sea sceneries.
