ABOUT

Muk is a creative studio that designs notebooks, toys, typefaces, prints, websites, books and accessories to empower and inspire creatives, while also working with businesses across the art and cultural industries to create visual identities, bespoke stationery and limited edition product collections. Having worked for giants such as IBM, Tent London and Pera Museum, Muk is known for its playful aesthetics and quirky slogans, but most importantly, for its pioneering approach to design and creativity.

Celebrating its 5th birthday this year, Muk Design has recently moved headquarters from Istanbul to London and will be celebrating growth with a rebrand and launch of new product line, which will also coincide with London Design Fair. For this massive occasion, I have created a stationery collection that consists of notebooks as well as other creative toys. Each notebook, that comes in series, is inspired by a phenomenon of design. Some of the series are named design principles, visual elements, creative personas, gestalt, fluid colours and basic shapes. Each series includes a number of notebooks, that comes with a little story or simply a few words about particular concept of design. I came up with the idea of the whole collection, build a structure around the phenomena, designed the cover graphics, and wrote copy for each phenomenon that the notebook is associated with. The products are sold online and in various art and design shops in London.

Enjoy!
