Like PETRIe 65–67 before it, PETRIe 68: Not Your Savage — a 192 pages strong hardbound coffee table book — follows the same vision of integrity, transparency, and honesty, encompassing the work of established and emerging artists, in the belief that their vibrant, forward-thinking enthusiasm, and their indisputable potential are the key to imagining and designing a better world. Young, talented writers give voice to often ignored topics, pushing the boundaries of journalistic genres, as they call for a deeper, more meaningful form of engaging with issues at hand. Dedicated to promote social awareness, PETRIe contributors call out conventions, cultural violence and prejudice by challenging marginal subjectivities, defined in opposition with mainstream ones, difference labelled as deviance, heteronormativity aggressively affirmed, and normality described from positions of privilege.
