ABOUT
This portrait series marks my first experience working in a studio setting with artificial lighting. "Portraits of Daria" explores the subtle interplay between light, shadow, and human expression. Using a single light source and a minimalist setup, I aimed to capture not just Daria’s features, but the atmosphere of quiet strength and introspection she embodies.
Shot with a Canon 600D and a 35mm lens, the project was an exercise in simplicity and intentionality—focusing on composition, mood, and emotional connection rather than technical perfection. Each frame was carefully lit to enhance natural contours and bring out texture in skin and fabric, all while maintaining a soft and intimate tone.
This series represents both a technical and creative step forward in my photographic journey, as I begin to define my visual voice through controlled studio environments.
