ABOUT

A web based tool designed for architects

Swartland is a company that has been manufacturing windows, doors, timber and related products since 1951.

Swartland required an interactive web based tool which was targeted at architects. This tool would integrate with a third party content and product management system, to provide these architects with a platform where they could easily find product information and technical drawings.

A Cape Town based creative company was responsible for the design and interface of the web application, while Elemental was tasked to complete the web development, integration and deployment.

We kicked off the web build process

Elemental created all the responsive web layouts based on the designs provided by the creative agency. This phase involved extensive cross browser testing on a variety of mobile devices, te ensure all responsive elements worked seemlessly.

The subsequent phase was the integration of the web application with the third party product and content management system. This was accomplished through API integration and automated scripts which ensured all the product and related information were updated on the website.

The final phase involved the creation of a client portal whereby architects could register and login to their profile. Once logged in these users could interact with features such as product searching, listing and viewing. Architects were able to download the technical drawings of each product in a variety of formats (such as Autocad, Revit). They were also able to submit quote requests and also interact with other architects through the discussion section.

BOOM! Another Successful Project.

The client now has a bespoke interactive platform with which it can communicate and engage with architects in the industry. These architects benefit by having access to a platform where they can find product related information at the click of a button, as well as being able to generate quote enquiries.

Through the use of technology, Swartland are able to effectively communicate and service these architects without having to employ a massive sales and support team.
