ABOUT

Curosity: Why Our Future Depends on it, came about when I was given a set of different project briefs during the first semester of my third year at university. As I knew what my strengths were I decided to challange myself so I gave myself the task of creating an animation.

It all began with a list of 10 talks that had been taken from the show TedTalks, which are based on different topics by different specialists. I decided to go with Ian Leslie's talk on Curiosity and why our future depends upon it, as it seemed to spike my interest more then any of the other talks. I began to come up with ideas immidiatly and started to take shape. I had tried many different ideas but all of them seem to come back to one particular idea and that was to do it in the form of a puzzle. So basing off that idea I started to create my animation.

I tried so many different techniques to get my puzzles to work I even took it as far as buying actual blank puzzle slabs and trying different ways to place the imagary I had already developed. However it turned out you cant use t-shirt transfers to transfer images to puzzle slabs >.<, just leaves a huge mess. So in the end I used a online puzzle creature to create my puzzles. The final piece came out good, I think. but will leave others to be the judge. Keep in mind this was my first animation I have ever created.
