Design News24 website for SA Elections 2014.
Employed a grid system to allow easy swapping of content blocks and for 300x250 banner ad integration. This modular system also allowed the site to grow organically over time.
The My2014 section was dedicated to user-generated content and we were dedicated to making it easy to use and visually stimulating. The wood texture mimicked a desktop where the user could feel “at home” and organise their photos etc. Combined this skeuomorphic approach with bold, solid colour elements to create a fresh look in the burgeoning era of flat design.
