A Moment in Gran Vía is one element of the Unsocial Interaction project.

It illustrates our constant connection by taking photographs on the Google Street View tool of people interacting with their smartphone in Gran Vía, Barcelona.
This collection of photographs illustrates how ubiquitous the smartphone now is. Just ten years ago the streets were virtually unpopulated with these devices. Nowadays they are everywhere and have become ordinary. The smartphone is a protagonist and an integral part of our everyday lives. By presenting the photographs together, the sheer number of people using their phone at one moment, in one street, in one city, highlights how quickly and easily we have integrated these devices into our everyday lives to the point where they go unnoticed.

This collection was then put together in a book by the same title.
