The story explored the role of Nebraska's state fossil (the mammoth) in the global ivory supply chain. The in-depth article, published in the Jan/Feb 2017 edition of Omaha Magazine, was the result of my reporting in HK, China, and the U.S. over several years. I edited the text and contributed a supplementary video online. The story was recognized by the 2017 Great Plains Journalism Awards. I have reported and written on the topic previously for China Daily's HK Edition and China Daily Asia Weekly.
