Don’t Panic hires Miranda Mitchell, (Ex Edelman and Brooklyn Brothers MD) as Non-Executive Director, boosting expansion plan to take creative power into brands

Don’t Panic, the multi-award winning creative shop that boasts a roster of clients including Oxfam, Wateraid, Save The Children and Google has appointed Miranda Mitchell as their first non-executive director on their board, to spearhead a growth strategy into brand clients.  

Miranda Mitchell, was previously Managing Director of Edelman Brand, and before that Managing Partner of Brooklyn Brothers and Partner at Engine. She brings expertise in working with global brands. Her appointment marks further development in a long-term plan for Don’t Panic to capitalise on its award winning creative into new territories, offering ATL service with earned at its heart.  

Miranda and Don’t Panic co-founder Joe Wade have been friends for several decades and first worked together in the early days of Don’t Panic, when it was the much-loved Pack and Poster.

The growth strategy will focus on growth into new areas, and diversity of clients on the books, maximising on a slew of creative award wins to a cabinet that already includes 12 Lions and BAFTA and a score of pencils. Recent wins include Charity Film of the Year and a Special Commendation as Agency of the Year in the Third Sector Awards, two of their ads featured in the APA top 50 ads of this year.    

The agency will be selective about the brands it works with going forward, focusing on creative partnerships with those that align with well thought through purpose and sustainability credentials and a desire to do cut-through creative – in order to complement their current clients and creative style, led by Rick Dodds (ex Droga5 and Saatchi).
