ABOUT
Social expression has never been linked to financial transactions—until now. By merging the two, Mastercard created a culturally relevant and highly functional solution that felt natural within the Carnival experience.
With Makeup Payment, paying was no longer just a transaction; it became an extension of human behavior, social customs, and self-expression—introducing an entirely new way to pay. Such an innovation inspired people to generate a lot of content.
More than just preventing theft, Makeup Payment transformed the Carnival experience. By allowing users to make payments without carrying wallets or mobile phones, it gave them the freedom to fully enjoy the festivities, dance, and express themselves without worry.
