Spring Light – A Pastel Pattern Story

As a surface pattern designer, my creative process always begins with the world around me—and nature remains my most powerful source of inspiration. Spring, in particular, holds a special place in my heart. The way sunlight softens during this season, casting a pastel yellow glow, brings a unique richness to every color it touches.

Driven by this seasonal atmosphere, I began working on a new collection that reflects my vision of spring. Using Procreate, I was able to sketch and refine each curve with precision and ease, allowing the soft, organic feel of the season to flow naturally into the design.

The result is a fresh half-drop pattern, presented in two different background colors to highlight its versatility. Each variation offers a distinct mood—showcasing how a single design can shift tone depending on its setting.

This pattern is part of a new pastel color line I’m currently developing, and I’m excited to share this preview. I hope it brings the same calm, warmth, and joy that spring always brings to me.
