Echoes of Edo is a quiet conversation between past and present, an ornamental rhythm of poised figures, flowing kimonos, and delicate motifs that echo the refined aesthetics. Each silhouette moves with intention, framed by soft geometry and layered textures that feel both archival and contemporary. The muted corals palette creates a sense of calm repetition, like a memory revisited from different angles.

This design is deeply rooted in my Asian heritage, not as a literal retelling, but as an interpretation shaped by distance, time, and personal identity. Growing up with cultural fragments, patterns, stories, gestures, I’ve learned to translate them into a visual language that bridges where I come from and where I am now. Echoes of Edo reflects that duality: respect for tradition, paired with the freedom to reinterpret it through a modern, Western informed design lens.
