ABOUT

British Transport Police is the national police force responsible for keeping the rail network across England, Scotland and Wales safe for passengers, staff and operators.

THE BRIEF
Frontline policing within the rail environment brings the same pressures faced by officers in any other force, but within a uniquely complex and fast moving public space. No two days are the same. Officers must adapt quickly, show judgement under pressure and respond with compassion when supporting vulnerable people.

We were briefed to produce a recruitment film to attract applicants for Police Officer roles in London, with a focus on showing the reality of the role rather than an idealised version of it.

OUR APPROACH
We proposed a people led, self authored film that captured the day to day reality of working for British Transport Police and the positive impact officers can have on society.

Featuring officers from London’s B Division, the film allows them to share first hand insight into their roles, responsibilities and motivations. This approach created a sense of authenticity and trust, helping potential applicants understand what the job genuinely involves.

Filmed across East London, we spent time with a specialist drone response unit, alongside patrols onboard Transport for London’s Elizabeth line and around Liverpool Street Station. The result is a dynamic film that reflects the pace, variety and responsibility of frontline policing within the rail environment.

THE OUTCOME
The completed recruitment film provides British Transport Police with a clear, honest representation of Police Officer roles in London. The film is available on YouTube, supported by re versioned short form cut downs for social media.

All content was delivered in multiple aspect ratios and subtitled in both English and Welsh, ensuring accessibility across platforms and audiences.

Together, the assets support British Transport Police in reaching potential recruits with a message grounded in reality, purpose and public service.
