Digital Storm has worked with the Army and leading educational agency Education Connections for many years across a variety of different projects - both online and offline for Army in Education (AiE). Army in Education is the continuation of a long-term association the British Army has with UK secondary schools and colleges. The programme brings together the range of resources, activities and experiences the Army can offer to schools to enhance learning.

STEM: Build your Future
In association with real life Army situations, education content was written and provided to Digital Storm to create an appealing resource that excited students but was functionally for teachers. A suite of STEM resources (presentation, classroom lessons and practical workshop) to support Science, Technology, Engineering and Maths subjects and careers in schools, for students aged 14-16 was developed. Using film, interactive PowerPoint’s, PDF materials and template card designs, a resource was created that concentrated on skills development by students allowing them to explore ideas, investigate likely problems and plan and design a hovercraft. Student teams then were instructed, using photos and diagrams, how to build a hovercraft – which Digital Storm had to make to ensure it worked!
