Venue — Ivan Franko National Academic Drama Theatre
Role — Director, Playwright, Lyricist

The plot orbits the fate of a most unusual young man Gelsomino—a possessor of a unique voice so powerful that it can bring houses tumbling down. As Gelsomino embarks on his journey, he arrives in the whimsical 'Country of Liars,' where eccentric laws govern daily life. Cats are compelled to bark, dogs mysteriously meow, bread is traded as paint, the ugly is deemed beautiful. It's a world turned upside down, where the absurd becomes the norm.

Guided by an enchanting musical arrangement and evocative lyrics, this production seamlessly dances on the boundary between theatre drama and musical extravaganza. The constantly transforming setting, adorned with an array of vibrant colours, weaves a visual tapestry that mirrors the exciting auditory experience.

‘The Enchanted Voice' is not just a spectacle for the young. Beneath the layers of whimsy and enchantment, the play delves into profound matters of the human soul and grapples with socio-political issues. It resonates with the eternal dilemma of embracing one's uniqueness and celebrating the extraordinary in a world that often seeks conformity. As the narrative unfolds, through enchanting songs and enthralling dance, the play weaves a tale of self-discovery, societal change, and the triumph of the extraordinary. It is a celebration of dreams, a call to seek the truth and justice, and an enduring reminder that each child—and every grown-up—possesses the potential to achieve their most cherished aspirations and make the world a better place.
