Future Pioneers is Design Council’s award, celebrating and nurturing emerging designers who are principled, passionate and purposeful.

Hero graphics were inspired by concepts of identity, exploration, discovery and innovation. A graphic language was created which fused these concepts together by the use of a fingerprint which also looks like mountain contours/ordinance survey maps. Bright colours were used to help communicate a sense of youth and optimism.

The branding was applied across print and screen communcations including; posters, leaflets, A5 cards and spatial design for two award ceremonies at New Designers 2013/2014 and a exhibition held at Designer’s Block 2014.
