During Chinese New Year it’s tradition in Asian culture to give Lai See, little red envelopes filled with money, to friends and family. Being the year of the monkey, we decided to be a bit cheeky, and turn the standard red packets into paper bananas.

Using a special varnish we designed bunches of 4 envelopes that felt silky smooth, like banana skin, and along with faux product stickers, packed them into mini craft paper envelopes.

We shipped them off to clients, colleagues and friends alike to spread a little lunar love this Chinese New Year.
