The second in my series of famous Irish Writers' portraits where I'm trying to capture the creative nature of each one in a style reflective of their work. I've been in a very experimental phase for around a year so far, trying to marry realism with expressionism. And yes, this piece did indeed test my sanity but I’m finally, after today’s finishing touches, happy with it and will never touch it again... apart from adding my signature!
