My name is Derek Riede, and I am a sound engineer, music producer, and creative visionary with a passion for crafting immersive audio and visual experiences. I recently graduated from Full Sail University's Recording Arts program, where I honed my technical expertise in audio engineering, music production, and sound design, alongside a solid foundation in show production and live event coordination.

My journey in music and audio began with a deep fascination for how sound can evoke emotion and tell stories. Over the years, I've developed a unique approach to my work, blending technical precision with a creative mindset. As a producer and DJ under my alias Dr. Rein, I create music that merges acoustic and electronic elements, delivering powerful soundscapes that resonate with listeners.

In addition to my music production work, I've contributed to diverse projects such as:

Designing sound for video games (Ori, God of War, Hades) and post-production for independent short films.
Directing Bajo la Luna Fest, where I handled creative conceptualization, logistics, and budget management to bring a festival to life.
Working in live audio-visual production, where I gained hands-on experience in rigging, lighting, and camera systems, including jib operation.
Beyond audio, I am also a visual artist with experience in traditional mediums like painting, clay modeling, and woodwork, as well as digital art, photography, and video editing. These skills allow me to take a holistic approach to storytelling, integrating sound and visuals into cohesive, impactful projects.

Whether it's engineering a live show, crafting music in the studio, or conceptualizing a creative vision, I thrive in dynamic environments that challenge me to push boundaries.
