Gatehouse Bank has a unique investment proposition, which we were asked to translate into a new brand strategy and identity. Timed to coincide with the Bank’s new wealth management division, this refreshed brand needed the cut-through to distinguish the business amongst discerning, high-wealth investors and the flexibility to work equally powerfully across a range of on- and offline media channels.

Drawing on Middle Eastern patterns for inspiration, we developed a strong logotype based around an emblematic ‘G’. This became the cornerstone of a brand identity that included a new approach to typography, a distinct ‘ownable’ photographic style and highly recognisable colourways. Colour, in particular, became a powerful distinguishing device with bronze and blue variations being applied to the Bank’s site, credit cards and brochures.

With trust in mainstream financial institutions at a low, our rebrand managed to help the Gatehouse Bank maintain its honourable reputation and establish relevance, loyalty and affiliation amongst its key audiences.
