Re: Corporate Designer Position

Dear Magnetic RC Team,

it was with great interest that I learned about your need for a Corporate Designer from the Creativepool web site. I hope that the position is still available, since I believe that my experience and education will make me a competitive candidate.

My studies and my employment background show how deeply passionate I am about design and creative. In the past few years I had the chance to travel quite a lot (I lived and worked in Ireland, UK, Australia) and this allowed me to gain a wide breadth of experience, from retail sales, interior, graphic design and also admin and marketing.

After leaving Australia last year because of family issues and having the need of staying in Italy for a while, I had the chance to reinvent a new career as a graphic designer. It all started by preparing advertising material for the local tourist office and theatre in my home town and few months later I was approached by an investment company looking for some basic brochure redesign. Considering the type of market, it was quite a challenging task, especially because I gradually introduced new concepts and ideas for the corporate identity. The process took time and efforts from each single person involved, but the release of the new material (which had to be displayed in different banks throughout Italy) was such a big success that the company decided to engage, for the first time ever, into a web and print ad campaign, that I'm still supporting from here. At the moment, the ongoing campaign is being published in the most influential financial newspaper in Italy, "Il Sole 24Ore".

At this stage, I am looking forward to working with a company which has a reputed name in the market and starting a new challenging experience in a more creative environment, where I can deal with a bigger variety of projects. I possess extensive skills in major design applications like Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator and InDesign, 3D software (such as Rhinoceros and 3D Studio Max) and experience of branding and layout, for both digital and print media. As noted on the enclosed resume, in my previous work experiences I learnt how to deal with multi-tasking positions that involved a different range of responsibilities, such as building beneficial relationships with customers and being their reference throughout the whole design process, by giving complete assistance from the early stage to the finished project.
