Red Blue Yellow Black Again reimagines the work of avant-garde pioneer Aleksandr Rodchenko through generative AI. Dozens of his original 20th-century photographs are transformed from static images into motion, creating a new cinematic language while preserving his radical visual identity. In the process, we have restructured and restyled images for 16x9 format, color-graded, upscaled and restored the quality of original Rodchenko shots to match the tone. Many scenes have been collaged and mixed to create new, fresh view and achieve the maximum of artistic surrealism.

At a time when generative AI is widely debated and often dismissed as “soulless,” this project reframes it through the legacy of Aleksandr Rodchenko — an artist who once faced similar criticism when photography was not considered art. By connecting early 20th-century avant-garde experimentation with today’s AI tools, the film highlights a recurring pattern: new technologies that could be rejected at first, then have a chance to redefine creativity in the future. The project is relevant now as it positions AI not as a replacement but as a continuation of artistic evolution — especially within a global creative ecosystem increasingly shaped by accessible AI tools.
