About me
I graduated in July 2006 with a degree in Interior Architecture. After two years working within retail design I now have aspirations of developing and furthering my knowledge of the design industry. I am an enthusiastic and competent worker and have a passion for design. After gaining valuable experience and knowledge from working in the fast pasted London design industry I know wish to return north and be closer to family and friends.
I am currently a designer working for Zebra Projects. My duties include general day to day planning of both signage and layout of new flagship stores. These stores include both TopShop/ Topman and Debenhams International.
My most recent work has been as a designer involved in the development of a flagship store for the Arcadia Group. We were given a brief to develop a new concept for the Topshop/ Topman branch of the company. This concept was to be implemented into the first store in New York and then to be altered and tailored to work with all UK stores. The design has been signed off and finalised and will be seen in the coming year in all new stores in the UK along with the New York store.
I enjoy working in the retail industry but if the chance arose to broaden my design horizons it is something that I would wish to pursue. I am applying for this position because I feel I can both further my design abilities and also challenge myself within the role. I believe myself to be a very capable worker with an eye for detail. I believe your company to be one where I will be able to better myself and work to higher level within the industry.
