About me

I have worked as a web editor over the last four years, during which I have gained experience of all aspects of the management of an external website. These aspects include researching and writing news articles, editing content supplied by other staff and commissioning content from external contributors. In both the web editor roles I have held I contributed to the introduction of new content management systems (CMS) and site re-launches.

I have extensive experience of using HTML and also make frequent use of Dreamweaver in my current position. I am also familiar with the principles of content style sheets. I have used a number of CMS's including (currently) Mediasurface Morello. I have used both Photoshop and Macromedia Fireworks to prepare visual materials for web publication.

In my current position, my duties include three newsletters each term, going out to thousands of subscribers, a monthly research digest, and publication of press releases, job vacancies and details of forthcoming hearings and events on a day to day basis.
