ABOUT

This rebrand project is for a renowned audio company which started in the 1960’s. Throughout the company’s history they have been at the forefront of innovation for their brand belief ‘Sound First’. This touch point is highlighted in part of the logo and in marketing material. By using phrases involving the word sound emphasises that they are the best in this field. As for the logo shape and brand colours these are taken from certain elements of current designed products. The logo is built up from and already iconic shape on most of the company’s speakers. The thought being why not own this shape and make it work harder for the company. The ‘C’ cut out form the centre not only stands for Cambridge but for a speaker and sound first. This ‘C’ can then be used to push the brand mark further across all products, in fact the logo shape can be pushed to new product shapes such as headphones and speakers. By using this interesting shape it could enter them into a new market and challenge the more unique audio brands. The brand colours black and blue were already being used on some of their products and by transferring this across the whole brand world helps give consistency, luxury and a modern feel.
