ABOUT
Naive art developed in nineteenth-century Europe as artists were called naifs (naif in French means naive) by their avant-garde colleagues, because they were not devoted to painting as their main activity.
Moreover, these artists had no academic background and were therefore self-taught in their art.
This group of artists conceived of art not as reflective and transcendental, but as a reflection of tranquility and indifference within. Thus his works were more serene and carefree.
