Listening to music while running is a universally common activity. We turned this around with Run Track - a web application, which allowed the user to create his/her own unique music by running with the Nike+ Running application.

Run Track took Nike+ Running application data such as total distance run, average pace and acceleration rate, combined with running conditions like the weather and time of day, and translated them into music in real time.

Users were able to choose from a variety of musicians whose beats and tunes were associated with the various pieces of data. Run Track would automatically arrange the associated musical elements in order to compose a unique piece of music on the spot.

Run Track turned the activity of running into a creative act of composing one’s own music.
