About me

Since taking the helm at leading digital agency Digitas, in June 2018, Dani Bassil has already delivered a new digitally-focussed proposition, led on the organisation's rebrand and shifted the agency to create even stronger digital experiences, that go beyond the expected. And all this in her first few months.

The future of the agency is certainly bright with Dani in the hot seat, with one eye on the present and one in the future, she recently appointed a new senior executive team, made up of a cross section of digital and creative talent, not only the best of the best but also the right fit for her future vision, those committed to the team and to take the agency into a new era.

Her vision for the agency is simple, "happy people doing brilliant work for clients that love us", and her teams have embraced this sentiment, adopting it as their work mantra. In fact, since her appointment as CEO, Dani worked with the Digitas team to encourage open communication through her relaxed and approachable style and, of course, championing the Next Generation Board, made up of young talent from across the network, to embed flexible working for all into the Digitas DNA.

Her vision for the sector is grander. She is a keen advocate on diversity and inclusion both within Digitas, having recently initiated research on gender pay gaps across the agency, and the wider sector, and delivered a report on how to make the change happen. She is also working to ensure a sustainable future for the sector and its talent through tackling social mobility and working with young people, including local schools and BIMA Digital Day.

She has been awarded the Woman in Marketing Best Agency Leader award in 2019, Campaign Magazine Digital CEO of the year 2019 and BIMA 100 for both 2018 and 2019.

Dani is without doubt a rare talent with a wealth of experience, energy and ideas. With over 20 years' experience, she has directed operations for agencies such as JWT, POSSIBLE and Grey London, working with a wide range of brands including Shell, HSBC and Johnson & Johnson. There is no doubt Dani is one of the industry leaders to watch.
