ABOUT
Concept:
The project was part of the documentary series “Lost Beasts – Unearthed”, produced by Windfall Films. The brief was to create captivating motion graphics, VFX, and 3D elements to support the storytelling of prehistoric life and the rediscovery of ancient creatures. I was brought into the team via Dinnick & Howell to contribute visual sequences that would blend seamlessly with the live-action and CGI reconstructions.
Execution:
My responsibilities included creating animated title sequences, on-screen text, and a range of visual effects to support individual episodes. I used Cinema 4D and After Effects to design dynamic compositions that matched the documentary’s tone — scientifically grounded, but visually immersive. The work required close collaboration with the editorial and production teams to ensure technical accuracy and visual clarity, particularly when working with scientific data and fossil reconstructions.
Results:
The final animations were broadcast as part of the series aired internationally. The intro graphics and animated overlays helped enhance viewer engagement and understanding, while maintaining a cinematic yet informative style. The project strengthened my skills in documentary storytelling, technical workflow, and high-end TV production pipeline integration.
