ABOUT
Objetive
Argentina is one of the most deforested countries in the world. Annually, more than
300.000 hectares of native forest are cut down. Putting hundreds of species in danger.
Idea
By hacking the Spotify platform, we found a way to raise funds for the foundation, without
asking for a single cent from the users. We created EcoAlarm, an alarm clock app that uses
sounds recorded from protected forests to wake you up. The sounds are stored in Spotify and every time a track of the album is played, it generates royalties that are paid to “Fundación Banco de Bosques”, like Spotify does with all record labels.
Additionally, we developed an interactive 3D web with information about the ecosystems all users were protecting by using the app. The site was designed to be pleasant and easy to
read and share, using low-poly aesthetics and infographics.
Target
Millennials want to change the world, so they were our main target for this campaign.
Still, we know they have their own monetary issues, so we wanted to create a way for them to
change the world without having to put much effort. EcoAlarm integrates organically into
their lifestyle.
