I am writing to apply for the job I saw advertised on creatovepool.co.uk for Account Manager. I think I would be a good candidate for the role as my past jobs have given me great experience.. I have a good knowledge of digital buying and delivering as well as a passion for keeping my self up to date with how the industry is changing. This passion springs from my drive to be the best at what I do and to make sure I am only delivering the highest quality of work to any clients I am working with.
My experience started when I was hired by the Apple store in Regent Street as a specialist. From this role I learnt the importance of customer service and satisfaction, and that to make people want to return you must make sure they always leave with a solution that is right for them. As I was very good at customer service I was asked to become a one to one trainer who would teach on a one to one basis with people who needed guidance when it came to using the apple product they had purchased. I found while doing this role it wasn't really satisfying my hunger for sales so I was then promoted to the role of lead cashier. In this role I was managing the tills, and the staff on the tills as well as dealing with customer complaints and inquiries. I was in charge of making sure my till staff were selling and up-selling whilst maintaing a very high level of customer service even with the customers who had complaints about anything we sold. I gained valuable experience with team working as well as negotiating with difficult customers to make sure my sales figures were always high.
Whilst working for Apple I undertook an internship with Them and Us media as a junior accounts handler / digital assistant. I was working closely with the photographers and creative director. I would cold call and hot call to get us new clients to work with as well as managing existing clients to make sure we met all their media needs. It was a sharp learning curve for me as I had to take on a lot of responsibility as well as learning new software and techniques, but I managed to take it all in my stride. I would have to negotiate with clients over price and deadlines whilst keeping our high level of customer service to make sure the clients were always happy. I became accustom to working to tight deadlines and was not afraid to put in the hours if it meant we would achieve our goals.
Taking what I had learnt at my internship I went with one of the photographers we worked with and set up a photography studio in Shoreditch. My role was as studio manager and this utilised all the skills I had previously learnt. It gave me time to explore my freelance options and make music videos and produce photos shoots. We were running a successful studio for around a year when Hackney council decided the building it was in was going to be flattened to make way for a new hotel.
This has lead me to this point and I would like to see where I can take my career working with a top digital media agency. Thank you for taking the time to read my application and I hope you will be able to consider me for an interview
Yours respectfully
Daniel Hall
